Swim School Achieves SwiMark Plus
The Dolphins Swim School achieved swiMark plus on 27th April 2013. Two representatives from Scottish swimming, Mandy Church (National Business Manager) and Sarah Pryde-Smith (Regional Swimming Development Manager) visited the swim school to meet with Head Teacher Thomas Harkins.Michael Harkins, Deputy Head Teacher said: "The swim school is the first to achieve swiMark plus! This is a great achievement for the swim school! This now sets us apart from other swim schools in West Lothian and Scotland, as one of the best! Just because we have achieved swiMark plus, does not mean we will stop there, we will continue to push ourselves to remain at the top of our game"
Thomas Harkins remarked: "It is amazing to think of our progression; in 2011 we only registered as a swim school. In 2012 we gained swiMark, and now we have gained swiMark plus! It's fantastic news for the swim school and the club. What of next year? Hopefully we will continue to shine. We will continue to provide the best lessons we can. Through good management practices, it is much easier for everything else to fall into place"The Development section of the club is aiming to have swiMark plus following the summer. If achieved the Dolphins will be the only club in Scotland to have both its Learn to Swim Programme and Development section swiMark plus accredited.
